Dr. Fahim Abid
Assistant Professor
Fahim Abid was born in 1990. He completed his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2012 from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh. Afterwards, he served as software engineer at SAMSUNG R&D Center, Dhaka, Bangladesh before going for higher studies in Europe. He received the M.Sc. degree in 2015 on Smart Electrical Networks and Systems combinedly from Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e), Netherlands and Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Later on, he worked as visiting researcher at the Department of Electromagnetic Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.  He received his Ph.D. degree in 2020 from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway specializing in the area of high voltage and high current engineering. His main research interest includes high voltage engineering, switchgear, smart grid, power electronics and plasma physics.
