Assistant Professor
Received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Dhaka, in 2006 and 2011, respectively (www.iutoic-dhaka.edu). Completed a Professional Certificate in "Clean Power" from Imperial College London, focusing on fostering a pro-renewables environment and integrating renewable energy into electricity grids. Participated in the ICEPAG2020 colloquium at the University of California, Irvine, hosted by the UCI Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP), on Environmentally Preferred Advanced Generation Hydrogen: A Platform for Sustainability. Completed the “Renewable Energy Future” program at the University of Colorado, Boulder, with emphasis on green hydrogen policy.
Engaged in the Teacher in Service Program (TiSP) of IEEE R10 HTC'19 at the University of Indonesia under the theme “Engineering Festival for Humanity: Networking, Sharing and Inspiring.” Served as a mentor in Bikiron 2021, a sustainable energy innovation challenge, inspiring young talents to excel in the SREDA-GIZ “Energy Smart Villages” category. Attended the IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit (ILS'18) at BSMMU Convention Center, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the IEEE Bangladesh Section.
Successfully coordinated the short course “Energy Transition: Clean, Affordable and Sustainable Perspectives” (SDG 7), organized by the EEE Department of IUT in December 2020, aimed at motivating young minds within the Muslim Ummah. As a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, participated in the 60th IEB Convention focusing on “Innovative Engineering in the 4th Industrial Revolution.”
Research interests include NH₃ synthesis, 100% renewable energy, harmonic distortion analysis, floating PV systems, and wind–water–solar hybrid systems.
