Mr. Shadman Shahriar Sharar is currently pursuing an MASc leading to PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He completed his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh, in 2023 with a CGPA of 3.98, ranking 2nd out of 130 students. His research interests include metasurface devices, nonlinear optical devices, and inverse design with a focus on advanced bio-sensing and photonic applications. To date, he has authored 4 peer-reviewed journal papers, including 3 in Q1 journals, and has served as a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals in optics and photonics. Prior to starting his graduate studies, Shadman was a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at IUT, where he is currently on study leave.
