Measurement and Instrumentation Lab

Measurement and Instrumentation Lab
Lab-in-charge: Prof. Dr. Khondokar Habibul Kabir
Location: 5th floor, 1st Academic Building
Measurement and Instrumentation Lab provides facilities for hands-on experimentation, and demonstration related to electrical measurement systems, sensors, transducers, and instrumentation techniques. The laboratory is equipped with different types of measuring instruments such as analog and digital meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, bridges, calibration units, data acquisition systems, and various sensor-based experimental setups. Students perform experiments on voltage, current, resistance, power and energy measurement, calibration of instruments, bridge circuits, characteristics of sensors and transducers, signal conditioning, and error analysis. Overall, this laboratory helps students develop practical knowledge of accurate measurement, instrument handling, calibration, data interpretation, and the use of instrumentation systems in real-world engineering applications.
