Microwave and Radio Lab

Microwave and Radio Lab
Lab-in-charge: Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tawhid Kawser
Location: 5th floor, 1st Academic Building
Microwave and Radio Laboratory provides facilities for hands-on experimentation and demonstration related to microwave engineering, antennas, and radio communication systems. The laboratory is equipped with microwave bench setups, horn antennas, antenna trainer systems, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and other measuring instruments required for practical experiments. Students perform experiments on microwave propagation, standing wave ratio (SWR), attenuation, frequency measurement, antenna characteristics, radiation patterns, and basic radio communication principles. The laboratory also contains the necessary equipment required for sessional courses and practical demonstrations. Overall, this laboratory helps students develop practical knowledge of microwave and radio systems, antenna operation, measurement techniques, and the fundamental principles of wireless communication.
